Mumbai, July 18 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar today appealed to schools, colleges, voluntary organisations, industrial establishments and citizens to actively participate in the state government's tree plantation campaign aimed at making afforestation a mass movement.
She said the state government has set a target of planting 300 crore trees by 2047, with 18 crore saplings proposed to be planted in the initial phase this year.
