Shimla, Sept. 1 -- A sharp political confrontation erupted in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly on Tuesday over the issue of employment, with the ruling Congress and Opposition BJP trading charges over the state's financial position, revenue generation, Centre's assistance and creation of jobs for the youth.
The exchange intensified after Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan referred to the Centre's discontinuation of the Revenue Deficit Grant (RDG) during the discussion.
