Bhubaneswar, Sept. 4 -- Reliance Jio has emerged as the dominant telecom player in Odisha, commanding nearly half of the State's mobile subscriber base and around 52 per cent of gross telecom revenue a decade after entering the market.

Jio, which launched commercial services in Odisha on September 5, 2016, had over 1.85 crore mobile subscribers as of July 2026, giving it a 47.4 pc share of the State's nearly 3.9 crore mobile connections, according to TRAI data. It had added 5.8 lakh subscribers in its first month of operations.
