Ranchi, June 1 -- The Jharkhand Government has exempted stamp duty and registration fees on land transfer documents involving donations of private land for public purposes and transactions related to rehabilitation and resettlement projects.
The Revenue, Registration and Land Reforms Department issued two notifications on Monday granting full exemption from stamp duty under the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, and registration fees under the Registration Act, 1908. The exemptions came into effect immediately.
