Ranchi, June 4 -- The Jharkhand Government will establish migrant assistance centres in five major cities to provide support and facilitation services to workers from the state employed outside Jharkhand.

The proposal was discussed during a review meeting of the Labour, Employment, Training and Skill Development Department chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren here on Thursday.

Officials informed the meeting that migrant assistance centres would be set up in Noida, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru and Mumbai under the Jharkhand State Migrant Facilitation Scheme.

The centres will provide assistance to migrant workers from Jharkhand and help them access government support services when required.
