Ramgarh, June 14 -- Leader of Opposition in the State, Babulal Marandi on Sunday demanded a high-level judicial probe into the Ramgarh mine tragedy that claimed four lives and alleged that illegal mining activities in Jharkhand were flourishing under official patronage.

Marandi visited the families of the four deceased in the Argadda area of Ramgarh district and expressed condolences. He assured the bereaved families of support and sought adequate compensation and employment assistance for dependents.
