Ranchi, Sept. 6 -- Jharkhand on Sunday mourned the death of state minister and senior Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader Sudivya Kumar Sonu, with leaders cutting across political lines paying tributes to him and the state government declaring two days of state mourning.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren described Sonu's death as a deeply personal loss and said the senior JMM leader was like an elder brother to him.
The Governor and leaders from various political parties also expressed grief over the minister's sudden demise.
The state government declared state mourning on September 6 and 7 as a mark of respect to the deceased minister.
