Ranchi, June 12 -- : Jharkhand Welfare Minister Chamra Linda on Friday directed officials to ensure payment of pre-matric and post-matric scholarships for the 2026-27 academic session before December and develop an effective mechanism for transparent and time-bound disbursal of benefits.
Reviewing various welfare schemes, the minister stressed the need to improve implementation and ensure that students receive scholarship assistance without delay.
During the meeting, the Tribal Welfare Commissioner informed that the e-Kalyan portal for the 2026-27 financial year had been opened on May 15 and the application process was progressing smoothly.
