Ranchi, Oct. 10 -- Jharkhand Finance and Commercial Taxes Minister Radha Krishna Kishore on Saturday directed officials to ensure that goods vehicles do not face disruption in city areas during the festive season, following a request by the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI).
A chamber delegation led by its president Tulsi Patel met the minister and sought departmental instructions against stopping or seizing vehicles in market areas in the name of permit and e-way bill checks during the festive period.
The minister directed the Commercial Taxes Department secretary to ensure that vehicle movement within cities was not disrupted, the chamber said in a statement.
