Ranchi, June 15 -- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday launched a statewide awareness campaign against drug abuse, trafficking and consumption of prohibited narcotic substances, urging society to join efforts to build a drug-free Jharkhand.
Flagging off publicity vehicles from the Jharkhand Secretariat, Soren said substance abuse posed a serious threat to public health, social harmony and economic progress, particularly affecting young people.
The campaign aims to create awareness about the harmful effects of narcotic and psychotropic substances and encourage citizens to adopt a healthy and positive lifestyle.
