Ranchi, April 15 -- A two-day workshop on artificial intelligence and capacity building for officials was inaugurated at the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) in Ranchi on Wednesday.

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj minister Deepika Pandey Singh inaugurated the programme organised by the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS).

Addressing the participants, the minister said technology cannot replace human roles but knowledge of emerging tools such as artificial intelligence is essential for improving governance.

"There is no need to fear AI. It should be adopted to make work easier and more efficient," she said.
