Ranchi, Sept. 3 -- The Jharkhand High Court has dismissed a petition challenging the restoration of tribal raiyati land, holding that long possession, a court settlement or mutation entries cannot validate a transfer made in violation of the Chotanagpur Tenancy Act.
Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi upheld the orders of revenue authorities directing restoration of the disputed land in favour of tribal raiyat Mamta Singh Munda under Section 71-A of the CNT Act.
