Ranchi, June 9 -- Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday sought responses from the authorities on a public interest litigation alleging transfer of tribal land under the Chotanagpur Tenancy (CNT) Act in favour of various Christian societies and churches in some districts of the state.
Hearing the PIL filed by Vishnu Sahu, a division bench comprising Chief Justice M.S. Sonak and Justice Rajesh Shankar issued notices to the deputy commissioners of Simdega, Gumla, West Singhbhum and Khunti, besides the State Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Commission.
