Kochi, Sept. 6 -- The Government of Jharkhand and Mata Amritanandamayi Math have joined hands to provide free specialised cardiac treatment to children from Jharkhand through Amrita Hospital, Kochi, with more than 2,000 children screened so far and 75 children having already undergone free cardiac surgeries at the hospital.

Under the collaboration, children diagnosed with congenital and acquired heart diseases will receive free cardiac surgeries and catheter-based interventions at Amrita Hospital. The initiative also envisages conducting more screening camps across Jharkhand to identify children requiring specialised cardiac care and ensure that they receive timely treatment.
