Ranchi, May 26 -- The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee on Tuesday launched a statewide signature campaign at petrol pumps against the rise in petrol and diesel prices, alleging that the increase was adding to the burden of inflation on common people.

The campaign was conducted at several locations in Ranchi, including Ratu Road, Kachahri Road, Harmu Road, Doranda, Birsa Chowk and Lalpur, where Congress workers and members of the public participated in the programme.

A procession led by state Congress president Keshav Mahto Kamlesh reached a petrol pump in Lalpur from Congress Bhavan, where the signature campaign was launched.
