Ranchi, April 28 -- The Jharkhand Cabinet on Tuesday approved a Rs 469.62 crore elevated corridor project from Argora Chowk to Dibdih bridge in Ranchi to ease traffic congestion.

The 3.804-km corridor, with links towards Kathal More (Chapu Toli) and Ashok Nagar, will be executed by the Jharkhand State Highways Authority.

Official estimates indicate that land acquisition is pegged at around Rs 109 crore, while rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R) costs are about Rs 39 crore.

Utility shifting forms a significant component of the project, with about Rs 35 crore allocated for water infrastructure and Rs 50 crore for electric lines.
