Ranchi, Aug. 26 -- The Jharkhand Cabinet has approved implementation of the Viksit Bharat-Rojgar and Livelihoods for the Guarantee Mission (Rural), VB-G RAM G, in the state.

The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Ranchi.

The scheme is aimed at strengthening employment and livelihood opportunities in rural areas. The Cabinet approved the proposal as part of a series of decisions covering rural development, education, health and other sectors.

The government has not, however, provided details in the Cabinet release on the state's financial allocation, number of beneficiaries or the specific employment guarantee to be provided under the scheme.
