Ranchi, June 25 -- The BJP on Thursday demanded registration of an FIR against JSCA president Ajay Nath Shahdeo, holding the cricket body responsible for the crowd chaos at the Jharkhand T20 League final in Ranchi.
Addressing a press conference, BJP spokesperson Ajay Sah alleged that poor planning and inadequate crowd management by the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) led to the incident in which several spectators were injured.
He questioned why additional police personnel, SDRF teams and adequate medical facilities were not deployed despite expectations of a large turnout. He also sought to know whether any standard operating procedure or trained crowd management mechanism had been put in place.
