Ranchi, June 26 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday alleged that RIMS Director Dr Rajkumar was forced to resign under pressure from the state government and demanded the resignation of Health Minister Dr Irfan Ansari.
Addressing a press conference, BJP state spokesperson Ramakant Mahato alleged that Dr Rajkumar had become an obstacle to "illegal collections" in the Health Department and was subjected to continuous harassment, forcing him to step down before the completion of his tenure.
Mahato further alleged that the Health Minister interfered in the functioning of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and targeted honest officers.
