Ranchi, June 22 -- Hockey Jharkhand on Monday began the selection process for the state's team for the 16th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship 2026, with 55 players participating in trials at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda International Hockey Stadium.
Players from various districts attended the trials for the championship scheduled to be held in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, from July 28 to August 8.
Officials assessed players on fitness, speed, technical skills and match performance during the selection process. Only players born on or after January 1, 2007, were eligible to participate.
