Deoghar, Sept. 12 -- Gujarat Police on Saturday detained a youth from Deoghar in connection with an email threatening to bomb the Gujarat Secretariat in Gandhinagar and the BRICS summit, officials said.
A Gujarat Police team reached Deoghar and detained the youth from the Nagar police station area, Deoghar Superintendent of Police Praveen Pushkar confirmed.
He said the youth was detained in connection with the email threat and would be questioned by the Gujarat Police team.
According to information available, an email had recently threatened to bomb the Gujarat Secretariat and carry out a blast during the BRICS summit. Gujarat Police subsequently launched an investigation into the threat.
