Bokaro, June 23 -- A young woman climbed a mobile tower in Jharkhand's Gomia area on Tuesday and refused to come down, demanding the release of her alleged lover who is currently lodged in jail in connection with an abduction case.
Police said the woman, a resident of Tilaiya village under Lalpania police station limits, climbed the tower at Dhendhe village and remained perched on it for several hours despite repeated appeals from local residents and officials.
According to police, the woman's family had earlier lodged a complaint alleging her abduction. Following an investigation, she was traced in Ranchi and the youth named in the case was arrested and sent to judicial custody.
