Ranchi, Sept. 11 -- Jharkhand Rural Development Minister Dipika Pandey Singh on Friday said the government plans to expand Palash Didi Cafes across the state to create more employment and self-employment opportunities for rural women.

Dipika made the statement after inaugurating a Palash Didi Cafe at the Raksha Shakti University campus in Ranchi.

She said the cafe was not only a centre for traditional Jharkhand cuisine but also an initiative to recognise the skills, work and self-reliance of rural women.

The Minister said rural women were being provided skill-based training, loans and financial assistance and connected with markets to create sustainable self-employment opportunities.
