Ranchi, Sept. 13 -- Jharkhand Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi today accused the CID of suppressing facts and protecting influential persons in the JSSC appointment scam probe and sought a CBI investigation.
In a post on X, Marandi alleged that statements of persons being questioned or arrested were being altered to remove references to alleged bribe transactions involving senior leaders, officials or their intermediaries.
He claimed some officials involved in the investigation had complained anonymously that their superiors were pressuring them not to record such statements. Marandi said the allegations, if true, raised serious questions about the credibility of the investigation.
