Ranchi, Aug. 2 -- A man who climbed a mobile tower inside Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi was brought down safely by police and rescue personnel after hours of persuasion, officials said on Sunday.
The incident occurred around 1 am, prompting police, district administration officials and a rescue team to rush to the spot. After prolonged negotiations, the man agreed to come down safely.
The man, identified as Hiralal, told mediapersons after the rescue that he had been preparing for government jobs for a long time and wanted to draw the attention of the government and district administration to alleged irregularities in recruitment processes.
