Seraikela, Nov. 3 -- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday visited his maternal home at Dhatkidih in Chandil block of Seraikela-Kharsawan district with his wife Kalpana Soren to perform traditional rituals following his mother's death.
The chief minister was accorded a guard of honour by the district administration on his arrival.
According to local tribal and regional customs, a visit to the maternal home is observed after the completion of funeral rites, rituals and immersion of ashes following the death of a parent.
