Chandil, Nov. 3 -- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday visited Chandil Dam in Seraikela-Kharsawan district and directed officials to prepare a plan for its development as a major tourism destination.
Soren, who was accompanied by family members, enjoyed the natural surroundings of the dam and discussed its development with the Deputy Commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsawan.
The Chief Minister directed officials to focus on tourism promotion, water management, expediting works related to the Chandil project and preparing an action plan for power generation and enhancement.
