Ranchi, Sept. 21 -- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren is scheduled to appear through video conferencing before the PMLA special court on Thursday in connection with the Badgai land case, with hearing on framing of charges also scheduled for the day.
Soren was represented by Additional Advocate General Achyut Keshav in the court on Monday, while the court fixed September 24 as the next date of hearing.
Soren was earlier required to appear before the special court on September 19 after the Jharkhand High Court rejected his interlocutory application seeking exemption from personal appearance. The special court had subsequently fixed September 21 for his appearance.
The High Court had rejected the application on September 18.
