Ranchi, June 26 -- The Jharkhand Congress on Friday dismissed the BJP's allegations linking the resignation of RIMS Director Dr Rajkumar to alleged pressure from the state government, describing the charges as baseless and politically motivated.

State Congress media in-charge Rakesh Sinha said the BJP was attempting to politicise an administrative matter and spread misinformation instead of raising issues concerning the public.

He challenged the BJP to produce evidence in support of its allegations of corruption, illegal collections and harassment, or submit such evidence to the appropriate investigating agency.

Making allegations through press conferences without proof had become the BJP's habit, he charged.
