Deoghar, July 4 -- Jharkhand and Bihar on Saturday agreed to strengthen inter-state coordination for the smooth and safe conduct of the Shravani Mela 2026, with officials deciding to maintain round-the-clock communication and enhance surveillance along the Kanwariya route from Sultanganj to Deoghar.
The decisions were taken at an inter-state coordination meeting chaired by Santhal Pargana Commissioner Sanjay Kumar. Commissioners, deputy commissioners, superintendents of police and other senior officials from both states participated in the meeting.
Officials decided to remain connected 24x7 through a dedicated WhatsApp group to facilitate real-time information sharing and prompt response during the month-long pilgrimage.
