Patna, April 1 -- Strongly criticising Leader of Opposition Tejaswi Yadav for his alleged remark describing Bihar as a "poor state" during election campaigning in Kerala, Janata Dal (United), on Wednesday dubbed the remark "insulting" and demanded a public apology.
Bihar state JDU president Umesh Singh Kushwaha said here that making such a statement about Bihar on another state's soil was "extremely shameful" and hurt the dignity of the people of the state. He alleged that Yadav has repeatedly made comments for political gains that damage the image of Bihar and its residents.
He further stated that during earlier election campaigns too, Yadav had shared the dias with leaders of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, who had made objectionable remarks...
