Burgenstock, June 22 -- US Vice President JD Vance indicated that Washington may consider unfreezing Iranian assets under a tightly controlled mechanism that would direct the funds toward purchases benefiting the Iranian people rather than activities linked to terrorism.
Vance said a major milestone has been achieved that Iran has agreed to allow International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors back into the country.
Vance said this step would ensure an end to Iran's nuclear weapons program while ensuring international oversight.
