Lucknow, July 22 -- The Samajwadi Party on Wednesday announced that it would send a 28-member delegation to Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar University in Rampur on July 23 to assess the situation after the district administration ordered the demolition of 28 buildings on the campus, escalating the political confrontation over the issue.
The Rampur district administration is carrying out demolition at Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar University.
The delegation, constituted on the directions of Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, will visit the university, meet Rampur district officials and submit a report to the party's state leadership.
