Bengaluru, July 13 -- In a statement set to reignite political debate over the Congress' leadership matrix in Karnataka, senior minister Satish Jarkiholi on Monday unequivocally declared that the party would contest the 2028 Assembly elections under the leadership of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, despite DK Shivakumar currently serving as Chief Minister following the leadership transition.
