Agra, Aug. 20 -- A high-level Japanese delegation from Yamanashi Prefecture, led by Governor Kotaro Nagasaki and Vice Governor Junichi Ishidera, began its Uttar Pradesh tourism visit with a traditional Braj welcome and a visit to the Taj Mahal on Thursday.

The delegation arrived in Agra after an engagement at Galgotias University. Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh and Director General, UP Tourism, Dr Vedpati Mishra, interacted with the visitors over lunch at Jaypee Palace before the delegation proceeded to the Taj Mahal.

The Japanese visitors were given a traditional Braj-themed welcome featuring Peacock Dance and Bam Rasiya, offering them an introduction to the region's folk traditions.
