Tokyo, June 15 -- Japan has welcomed a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran aimed at halting hostilities and advancing broader diplomatic engagement, describing it as a meaningful step toward reducing tensions in the Middle East.
Japan's Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu said the agreement reflects "tenacious negotiation" by the parties involved and recognized the contribution of countries that supported mediation efforts.
