Bhubaneswar, May 20 -- Odisha and Japan are set to deepen bilateral ties with Japan's Tottori Prefecture and Odisha agreeing to establish a "Sister State" partnership aimed at boosting cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, technology and academic exchanges.
The decision was taken during a meeting between Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Consul General of Japan in Kolkata Ishikawa Yoshihisa at Lok Seva Bhawan on Wednesday.
During the discussion, Yoshihisa said Japan is keen to strengthen partnerships with Odisha across multiple sectors, including business, tourism and education.
