Srinagar, Aug. 12 -- Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Food and Transport Satish Sharma has urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to immediately remove Transport Commissioner Vishesh Paul Mahajan, from his post, alleging persistent defiance of and disrespect towards the authority of the ministry.
In a letter dated August 6, 2026, addressed to the Chief Minister, Sharma said the conduct of the Transport Commissioner had reached a point where the orderly administration of the Transport Department was being "seriously compromised."The Minister alleged that Mahajan had openly defied written and verbal directives, bypassed the ministry and displayed "discourteous conduct/communication" towards him.
