Srinagar, April 3 -- Jammu and Kashmir is set to witness widespread moderate to heavy rainfall over the next 36 hours as a strong Western Disturbance approaches the region, officials said on Friday.
According to the Meteorological Department Srinagar, generally cloudy weather with intermittent light to moderate rain and snowfall in higher reaches is expected across many parts of the union Territory from April 3 to 4.
Thunderstorms, hailstorms, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40-50 kmph are also likely during this period.
The MeT office has warned that a few places in both Kashmir and Jammu divisions may experience brief but intense heavy showers, raising the possibility of flash floods, landslides, and waterlogging in low-lying areas....
