Jammu, April 4 -- Jammu and Kashmir Assembly today witnessed noisy scenes over the Ganderbal encounter as members expressing concern demanded a judicial probe into the matter.
The members from the National Conference, Congress and the People's Democratic Party in one voice demanded a judicial probe into the recent Ganderbal encounter of March 31.
The army has claimed that the man killed in the Arhama forests on March 31 during a gun battle, identified as Rashid Ahmad Mughal of Ganderbal, was a terrorist.
The family of the deceased person, however, claimed that he was innocent and alleged that he had no terror links and termed the encounter fake.
They also demanded the return of his body for proper burial.
