Srinagar, June 17 -- Two persons were killed after a private car plunged into a deep gorge in Pahalgam's Aru Valley, while eight tourists from Odisha were injured when a tempo traveller overturned on the Gulmarg-Tangmarg road in two separate road accidents in Kashmir on Wednesday, officials said.

In one of the accidents, a private car skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near Aru Valley in the Pahalgam area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district, resulting in the deaths of two occupants, officials said.

They said the accident occurred this morning when a private Swift lost control and fell into a gorge.
