Jammu, Sept. 18 -- Her dream of appearing in the Asian Games trials was shattered due to financial constraints, but she has not given up hope, believing that there is always a next time.
Eyeing participation in the next Asian Games and 2030 Olympics with an aim to fetch a medal for the nation, international mountaineer from Jammu and Kashmir, Shivani Charak, has not yet given up her dream to rise and shine.
After battling cancer at the age of ten for three long years of her childhood and braving all odds, Charak took up wall climbing at the age of 13 and, in 2023, became the first female athlete from Jammu and Kashmir to participate in the Asian Games.
