Srinagar, June 25 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir of the Crime Branch J&K filed a chargesheet in an eight-year-old case against two persons for allegedly cheating farmers and distributing spurious agricultural products in the Valley, officials said on Thursday.

The chargesheet in the FIR registered in 2018 was filed before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sopore, against Shahbaz Ahmad Bhat of Bomai, Sopore, and Kursheed Ahmad Mir of Rajpora, Pulwama.

The accused had been booked under Sections 420 and 120B RPC and Section 3/7 of the Essential Commodities Act for offences related to cheating, criminal conspiracy, and sale of counterfeit agricultural products.
