Patna, Sept. 20 -- Jan Suraaj on Sunday announced five candidates for the upcoming Bihar Legislative Council elections from graduate and teachers' constituencies, stepping up its preparations for the polls.
The party has fielded S.P. Rai from the Darbhanga Teachers' constituency, Ravindra Yadav from Darbhanga Graduates, Afaq Ahmed from Saran Teachers, Divya Jyoti from Patna Teachers and Rajnish Ranjan from Kosi Graduates.
The elections will be held in eight constituencies, comprising four teachers' and four graduates' constituencies. Jan Suraaj is expected to announce candidates for the remaining three constituencies later.
