New Delhi, March 21 -- A sea of worshippers was seen at the Jama Masjid on Saturday morning to offer special Eid-ul-Fitr prayers. The historic mosque and its vicinity saw large crowds in festive attire, as people greeted one another and celebrated the end of the holy month of Ramzan.

Eid began with the sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon, bringing happiness and excitement to families across the city. In view of the large gatherings, Delhi Police ramped up security in and around the Jama Masjid and other crowded locations, deploying extra personnel to ensure public safety and ease of movement.
