New Delhi, June 6 -- Opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal has been named as the replacement for Virat Kohli after the latter was ruled out of the upcoming three-match ODI series against Afghanistan owing to a hamstring injury sustained during the recently concluded IPL season, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Saturday.
The series, beginning June 13 in Dharamsala, will also feature matches in Lucknow on June 17 and Chennai on June 20.
Chief selector Ajit Agarkar confirmed the development while announcing India's squads for the upcoming T20I assignments, while expressing cautious optimism over Kohli's potential return for the England ODIs in July.
