Hamirpur(HP), Aug. 27 -- Dr. Yogesh Chandra Bhatt, a 68-year-old resident of Rajasthan, died in a collision between a taxi and a truck near Bhota in Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur district on Thursday morning.
The taxi driver was also injured in the accident, and his condition is reported to be serious. He has been taken to the District Hospital in Hamirpur for treatment.
According to reports, Dr. Bhatt, a consultant of JAICA working at Hamirpur was traveling to Chandigarh Airport in the taxi when it collided with a truck (HP 52 C 0825) near Bhota. The impact was so severe that Dr. Bhatt sustained critical injuries despite the taxi's airbags deploying.
