Shimla, Sept. 29 -- Leader of Opposition and former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Monday accused the Congress of attempting to create an atmosphere of disorder and distrust in constitutional institutions after failing to secure power through democratic means.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Thakur alleged that the Congress and its allies were trying to create confusion over the functioning and decisions of the Election Commission of India.
He said Congress leaders frequently carried the Constitution and spoke about respecting constitutional values, but at the same time levelled what he described as baseless allegations against constitutional institutions.
