Dharamshala, Aug. 18 -- Former Dharamshala Municipal Corporation Mayor Devendra Jaggi on Tuesday alleged that local MLA Sudhir Sharma was attempting to influence the ongoing Vigilance investigation by mobilising women from Mahila Mandals outside the Vigilance Police Station.
Jaggi questioned the use of vehicles to bring women's groups to Dharamshala during the MLA's appearance before the Vigilance authorities, alleging that they were being used to turn a legal proceeding into a political show of strength.
He said appearing before an investigating agency was a legal process and there was no need for a public representative to gather crowds to demonstrate political influence.
