Vijayawada, June 25 -- Former Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday expressed concern over negative tax revenue growth of Andhra Pradesh at 3.22%, indicating fall in consumption and economic distress and called for liberal credit to Self Help Groups, described as vital and regarded as the lifeblood of rural economy.
For the financial year 2025-26, negative tax revenue growth was at 3.22%, the former Chief Minister said in a post on 'X', and emphasised the need for strengthening the SHGs' income generating ability and contributing to their sustainability.
